V DRY CO 6: 6% cobalt drier

Type:

It is by far the most important and widespread cobalt based paint drier. It acts as an oxidation catalyst and thus permits the hardening of the paints film surface. Aspect : Blue liquid with a reddish hue Density : 0.9 g/ml 20oC Dry Content : 39.5 ± 0.5% Metal Content : 6% of cobalt metal Packaking : Nett 180 kgs Drums or 50 kgs Hdpe containers.

Application:

Generally cobalt soaps are used in conjunction with lead, calcium, zirconium and the mixture of those soaps. The blue colour of cobalt soaps is useful to absorb the yellow aspect of alkyd resins and thus they are prefered to formulate white paints, Vatan Chemicals recommends the incorporation of cobalt drier at final stage of paint preparation due to its strong oxidative property and thus to prevent a drying on the surface or loss in the paint. According to the customer's need we produce also cobalt driers with 5, 8,10,12 and 15 /o metal content.
